MEET TEDORA!

Te Dora Mayonna Brown was born in the 1970s in Chicago to hardworking parents who stayed married until Tedora’s dad passed. The union lasted 47 years and shaped what Tedora would become later in life.

Tedora is married to Christopher Scott Sr. and has 4 living children, 1 child preceded in death, and 1 grandchild. She holds an Associate degree in Arts in Elementary Education from Harold Washington, and a Bachelor’s degree from Roosevelt University.

“Marriage and motherhood are extremely important to me. I believe business is an expression of love when it is passed through generations. This is what I believe God wants me to do. With the obedience, honor and love for God, overflow will continue to prosper in my life.”

Today, Tedora is the President of Scottland Development Corporation and the Founder of Women in Construction of Illinois, a company where women can learn to develop real estate, become an investor, a contractor, or develop a trade.

She has served as President of The Dramon World Foundation after her 13 year old son passed away on the basketball court, due to a heart condition (myocarditis). Each year, a fundraiser is held, and all proceeds go to the American Heart Association.

While leading the Foundation, Tedora developed Ratcliff Solutions Scholarship programs and is the Founder of Little Shepherds Academy, Little Shepherds Beginners, and Naperville Montessori Academy, which provides early childhood development to all children.

Te Dora has been featured on OWN’s hit reality show, “The Belle Collectives”, speaking on her journey and has been featured in “Shoutout Atlanta”, Chicago Build and a 2023 Women of Excellence recipient.

A former lifelong Democrat, she found her way to the Republican party about a decade ago, after waking up to what the Democratic party was doing to her community and our country.
